On May 18th, Monica raced in the Toowoomba Challenge atnToowoomba with her JL 302 and finshed second and recorded the fastest lap in her class, the Clubman Light. Monica loves the JL302 and finds it easy to drive. She is impressed with the turn in of the chassis.


May 2008

Our newsletter of October 2007 predicted that the motor sports scene in India would receive a shot in the arm from the involvement of Vijay Mallya in Formula 1 through the team

now named Force India and because India might host a round of the championship in the near future. Six months down the road and sure enough, the interest has grown manifold.


April 2008

Indian cadet driver Arjun Maini drove to an excellent victory at the first round of the Asia Max Challenge (AMC) at Kota Bharu. Arjun showed just how strong he is going to be in the Rotax Micro Max class in his KnK Juvenile.


March 2008

We are busy moving to a new location where we will build a new purpose built factory.There have been a few disruptions with supplies due to this but we hope to be back on stream soon from a temporary facility during the interim period. Communication channels remain the same:


February 2008

We arrived in Malaysia when the Moto GP testing was in progress and spent two days at Sepang. To watch objects of this size hurtling out of corners and down the straight and then gracefully dropping to absurd angles while the riders felt the track with their knees was an unforgettable experience.


January 2008

2007 ended on a sad note for Indian karting, a motorcycle mishap took away Robin Shroff, the MAI Administrator. Robin gave a certain face to Indian karting and gave the feeling of making the Indian ASN more approachable and easier to deal with than before. Many of the karting fraternity in India and the Asia Zone will miss him.
